Does Image really matter? The answer is YES, whether or not we want to admit it. I am the first to say don’t judge a book by its cover and I really do believe so. You really need to look past the cover and see what is on the inside! Most of us are not in the business of sales and marketing but we do have to market our self or our company, and this is really the case for those of us that are self employed or run a small business. A first impression is so very important, you would never go into a job interview without your hair combed, chewing gum, shirt untucked, and just flop yourself down in front of the person and say hey! we put on our best face and bring out our best performance highlighting all of our good qualities in the interview.
So why is it then that so many companies don’t do the same when they are in front of their potential clients? OK so this is where i’m going with this… it usually starts with a business card, and I have seen a lot over my days. The image of your company is from your business card to your shop floor is a presentation of how you do business and the kind of product or service you provide. The 3 main areas of advertising to potential clients before they ever buy anything are usually a Business Card, Website, and the Sign(s) a customer sees when they come into you business.

Buying local is more than just produce, dairy and meats.
Buying products from local companies supports the local economy and helps keep them in business. It also helps create local jobs.
Buying products close to home is good for the environment because it reduces pollution from extra packaging and transportation.
Buying local is a great way to reduce your “ecological footprint” or personal impact on the environment (“ecological footprint” is a calculation of the resources needed to produce the crops, food, roads, buildings, and other goods and services we use and consume).
There are many small local business that produce everything you can imagine. How often do you see MADE IN CANADA if your like me its not enough and i look for it. Quality is a big part of it you know what you are getting and to me a better valued product is the cheapest one. Why do we keep going out and buy the cheapest “toaster” just to have to go out and buy another one a couple years down the road? Think about it… if you spent i don’t know lets say $20.00 on a toaster every 2 or 3 years would it not have made more sence to pay for a good quality one at $50 or $60?
All-in-all, buying local helps make Canada better, and a more liveable place to be!

This is our first post, that is me Thomas and the company ANSONprint formally known as Anson Screen Print.
We are here to spread the word about what we do and can do for you, yes YOU! Anson has been around for almost 25 years now going through many changes over the years. Most recently in September of 2008 we once again became privately owned and operated parting ways with our parent company Numatech Industries. We are now located 1198 Barton St. in Hamilton (Winona). We have expanded our services and now offer Custom Graphic Design Photography and Imaging Services. We have also introduced digital and laser printing services on top of our, as well as a new line of Architectural Signs, Merchandising products and Display products.
